Materials Management is about a coordinating function responsible for planning and controlling materials flow. It also can define as a process for the flow of the materials from suppliers through production to consumer with the right materials are available at the right place at the time in the right quantity and quality and at the right cost. 

The objectives for materials management are responsible for purchasing the highest quality equipment and products at the lowest possible cost for the organization.Last but not least, it also provide the required level of customer service.
